Even newer antipsychotic drugs, such as risperidone (Risperdal), aripiprazole (Abilify), quetiapine (Seroquel), and olanzapine (Zyprexa), are safer than the older drugs or clozapine, and they also may be better tolerated. Several additional antipsychotics are currently under development.
